Gathering for the "Pass it on" project: the most needy individuals/families are identified and given a goat. They are obligated to "pass on" the first kid to another needy member of their village, and then any further offspring can be kept to be used either for selling or eating. Most of the beneficiaries have been affected in some way by HIV/AIDS – either personally, or the grandmother is caring for orphaned grandchildren, or teenage children are heading up families where both parents have died.
